Campuses and Facilities
The Lower Campus in North Oakland houses our K-4th grade students. Comprised of three unique and warm classroom buildings, the Lower Campus is a thriving elementary community that emphasizes multi-age, project based learning. Students enjoy a wide range of enrichment classes weekly including Spanish, music, PE, and visual arts.
The Upper Campus in Berkeley is home to our 5th-8th grade students and is entirely contained in one large building. Our middle school students have freedom to move and space to develop independence in the many large classrooms, the state-of-the-art kitchen, and dedicated gymnasium. The daily schedule is designed to support the need of adolescents to learn through a wide range of experiences. In addition to the core curriculum, students are offered choices such as modern dance, Chinese cooking, spoken word poetry, and cross country running.
